Ujjain:
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch his re-election yatra on Monday. But ahead of it, posters put up for the yatra include all national BJP leaders but not his rival Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. The posters depict LK Advani, party chief Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Chouhan will begin his yatra to seek a third term in office from Ujjain. The yatra is aimed at mobilising the masses ahead of the state elections later this year. It will cover 224 Assembly constituencies.

Bhopal:
The Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections due around December is likely to be a direct contest between Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the Congress as the latter has not projected its leader for polls while the BJP has virtually thrown its weight behind Chouhan.
“The BJP has decided to contest the coming Assembly polls under the leadership of Chouhan by showcasing the government’s achievements from 2003-2013,” state BJP unit spokesman and MLA Vishwas Sarang told PTI.

Can Scindia change Congress’ fortunes in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh?
Bhopal: Young Congress leader and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who will formulate the party’s campaign strategy for upcoming assembly election in Madhya Pradesh, has a tough task at hand in the state where BJP is ensconced in power for the last 10 years.
The 42-year-old son of former Union Minister, late Madhavrao Scindia, was appointed Chairman of State Congress Election Campaign Committee with the AICC effectively handing him the onerous task of bringing the party back in power. Could Jyotiraditya Scindia bring the Congress back to power in MP?
